Born and raised in Ireland, she moved to the U.S. after secondary school and obtained a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from the University of California, Davis. Orla has previously worked in research labs at UC Davis and Genentech. Orla has 7+ years as a clinical research professional, supporting and managing clinical trials related to the infant microbiome. Her interest in the infant microbiome and nutrition developed having become a mother herself and continues as she hopes to improve health outcomes for all infants through research.
