  • What is the purpose of this study
  • This study will help us learn how people’s backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and knowledge are related to the fermented dairy foods and drinks they choose, such as yogurt, cheese, and kefir. The study is for people who use WIC. This project is made up of two studies:

Study 1: Use an electronic survey to understand the factors that influence the adoption and use of fermented dairy foods among WIC participants.

Study 2: Pilot-test a community-informed fermented dairy intervention designed to increase the adoption and use of these foods among WIC participants.

        California residents.
    Receive or their children receive WIC benefits.

Participants will have 10 days to finish the survey but can take a break and stop the survey, then restart again at the same place where they stopped.

Study 2 The pilot-test of the community-informed fermented dairy intervention will be designed and started after the completion of Study 1.
  • Will participants be compensated for finishing the survey?
  • Yes. participants will receive $40 in gift cards to use at Prime Time Nutrition or Quickeroo Markets.
